There are always many questions when deciding where to holiday and here we try to answer some of the most common in relation to Carina in Toscana and the area. Please feel free to get in touch with any other questions you may have.

-
Which is the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is Pisa with regular flights to/from many UK airports, including Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Heathrow, Bristol and Stansted.

-
Do I need to hire a car?
Yes we believe that hiring a car is essential. We recommend hiring a small car such as a Fiat Panda or Fiat 500, as roads can be narrow with many bends.

-
Is there a train station nearby?
Yes at Piazza al Serchio there is a train station on the Pisa/Lucca/Aulla line. This means you can take the train to many places if you want a rest from driving.
There is free parking at the station. To note: During maintenance and line upgrades, there may be replacement bus services from time to time, so please check. Tickets can be bought at stations or you can download the TrenItalia app and purchase tickets this way.

-
Can we visit Cinque Terre from here?
You can drive to La Spezia, which takes a little over an hour and from there you can take the train or ferry - depending on the season.

-
Is there parking at Carina in Toscana?
Yes there is, however, please note that the road narrows at a point which means large/long cars will have difficulty or may not be able to enter, therefore if you are hiring a car, please ask for a small car such as a Fiat 500, Fiat Panda or similar.

-
Is the pool for our sole use?

Yes absolutely. Nobody else uses the pool or gardens during your stay with us. As mentioned we do clean and maintain the pool for your comfort and we do water the plants, but we try to minimise any inconvenience to you.

-
Is WiFi available?
Yes there is free WiFi.

-
Do you live on site?

Yes we live in the main house, which means we are always on hand to offer advice and help, however we keep at a discreet distance. We maintain and clean the swimming pool daily, but we try to cause as little disturbance to our guests as possible in doing so.
